Frequently Asked Questions

What is a clinical research trial?

A clinical research trial is a scientific study evaluating how a new medicine or treatment works in people or how a currently approved medication works for a new indication. Through clinical trials, doctors find new and better ways to prevent, detect, diagnose, control, and treat illnesses.

Why should I participate?

Participating in a clinical trial is an important decision that may improve treatment methods and provide patients with improved treatment alternatives. During your participation you will be seen by medical experts for the condition being studied. During the study you may have the opportunity to try new medications that may improve your condition.

How much will it cost me?

All the study related lab work and medications will be at no cost to the patient. The patient will receive $75 for every completed visit at our site, to cover travel and incidental expenses.

What is Informed Consent?

The Informed Consent is a document that verifies the patientís willingness to participate in the clinical trial. The informed consent form includes information about potential risks and benefits of the study.

Can I withdraw from the study?

As a volunteering participant, you are free to withdraw from the study at any point.
